One of the things I love most about personal branding photography is that every client comes with a different story, a different purpose, and a different vision for where they’re headed.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Jacquelina, founder of The Modern Load, a business dedicated to helping ambitious women reduce the mental load of modern life through AI education, practical systems and new ways of thinking. Rather than teaching technology for technology’s sake, Jacquelina focuses on helping women create more space, clarity and calm across work, home and family life.

When we planned Jacquelina’s session, the goal wasn’t simply to create a handful of headshots.

She wanted a versatile image library that would support her upcoming website launch, social media content, LinkedIn presence and future course offerings. Most importantly, she wanted images that felt both credible and approachable—professional, but still authentically her.

We created a mix of polished portraits, working images, lifestyle moments and, of course, included a few appearances from her adorable dog, Truffles.

As photographers, we spend so much time thinking about light, locations, styling and posing.

But sometimes it’s the words clients share afterwards that remind us why we do what we do.

After receiving her gallery, Jacquelina wrote:

“Thank you so much again for the wonderful photoshoot – I am beyond happy with the results. I ended up buying the whole gallery.”

She went on to say:

“You really know how to capture where your client is aiming career wise.”

That comment has stayed with me.

Because that’s exactly what I hope to achieve for every client.

Not just creating beautiful images, but creating images that support where you’re going next.
