One of the amazing things about being a visual creative is that so much of the visual world inspires me.

Travel to a new city and suddenly all I want to be capturing are my clients in grungy laneways, in front of cool walls or immersed in the vibe of a bustling street scene.

Walk into a funky cafe and I’m visualising how I can capture someone from several different angles taking advantage of the awesome decor and the beautiful afternoon light that floods the space.

Travel to the coast and I find myself dreaming of capturing the reflections of my clients as they walk along the beach at sunset as if in a dream…

But I remember when this use to be a bit of a torment as well!  When I felt like I was stuck in a rut doing the same sort of photoshoots over and over again and couldn’t run with the inspiration surrounding me.   

What changed?

Well personal branding blasted into the mainstream with business owners and entrepreneurs now more than ever seeing the value and need to get themselves more noticed online.

So I now get to feed my creative soul because it’s not just my surroundings that inspire me but also the needs of my clients who want a truck load of variety to get out there online –  no two shoots are the same.  

We dive into what feels authentic and true to each person.  

There’s different business types, work spaces, ways of working, hobbies and interests, daily routines, styling and wardrobe and of course different stories to share about all the good work they do and what they want the world to know about them.….

That’s why the images I’m loving creating right now are the lifestyle images that I incorporate into each of my personal branding photography packages

These are the images where people will really get to know the essence of you. The ones you can’t wait to use all over your socials.  People take notice and feel like they know you on a personal level because you are letting them into your world.  And this is where real connection happens.
